Massage seat retrofit are one of the most luxurious features available on Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. Many higher-spec models have the massage hardware fitted from the factory but ship with the feature disabled for certain markets. If your vehicle has the massage bladders and motors in the seats, feature activation is a simple coding job that costs a fraction of the dealer price.

Types of Massage Seats

Lumbar Massage: Pulsing air bladders in the lower back support. Standard on most models with massage hardware. Full Back Massage: Wave-pattern massage across the entire backrest. Available on Range Rover, Range rover sport l461, and Defender higher trims. Seat Ventilation: Cooling fans in the seat base and back. Often bundled with massage.

Which Vehicles Have Massage Hardware?

Massage hardware is typically fitted to: Range Rover (Autobiography, SV), Range rover sport l461 (HSE Dynamic, Autobiography), Defender (X, V8, Carpathian), Discovery (HSE Luxury). Check for small air bladders in the seat backrest — visible as subtle bulges in the leather. The massage motors are underneath the seat base.

Activation Process

Massage seat activation is a OUR CCF-PRO SOFTWARE editing job that takes 20-30 minutes. The technician enables the massage module, configures the seat type, and calibrates the air bladders. After activation, the massage function appears in the seat settings menu on the touchscreen.

Massage Programmes

After activation, you typically get: Wave (full back rolling massage), Pulse (lumbar pulsing), Stretch (sequential inflation), and Relax (gentle random pattern). Intensity and speed can be adjusted through the infotainment system.
